Worlds Apart 04:38
Sky steals through me, wind flows Wake and see me, eyes they know Fingertips on a bracing night One excuse to be holding you closer Wind-cracked lips are drawn to a midnight horizon You and I Worlds apart What would you give to go back to the start? You and I We’re worlds apart Touch betrays you Hard skin, braced for blow Once this felt true Eyes they fall Search my mind for a break in the silence Realise we are what we revile One more step, on the road, to a midnight horizon You and I Worlds apart What would you give to go back to the start? You and I We’re worlds apart You and I We’re worlds apart What would you give to go back to the start? You and I We’re worlds apart, apart.

Nothing could be further from the truth you couldn’t take it But his hands are held high, please hear what he’s saying It’s another new beginning but this time things are different He can swear that he’s changed, that he’s flicked another switch And if the lights are left low “Kiss me on the lips, I wanna watch ya when I touch ya, see exactly where both of your two hands are..” Ring is shining where it’s supposed to be, didn’t think that he would be the kind To leave the mystery behind, but he’s further down the road than anyone has gone in so long And the clock stops for no one Boxes in the corner and a space upon the shelf Where they used to keep the dreams of a stronger kind of self Where they used to keep the dreams of a stronger kind of self It should be that you can see the blade of a siren Walls lined with history, deciphering violence “If you do just what they say, love will come your way, love will come your way.” And at first this is a New Caledonia scene, where each roll of a wave seems to lift up your feet And the sky it is a puzzle they have power over Bringing clouds when they’re distant, sun when they’re closer Boxes ticked under influence, you feel the silk over eyes and a tightening grip Through the walls there’s a chorus of voices calling “Hey it’s been a long time, I hope you’re doing fine..” Now the distance is closer, gonna get to know ya The light is shining over every single dark corner And if you didn’t still feel cold when they enter a room You would believe they had changed, that they’re staying so true But the switch never flicked Add your name to the list Realise you are there When he goes for your neck So you take to the phone And the voice on the call Says I’ve seen this before Know that you’re not alone Just go easy my dear There’s a way out of here I’ll uncover your eyes Lead you into the light This won’t happen again I will teach you the signs I’ll uncover your eyes Lead you into the light Just remember that one day, love will come your way, love will come your way You are stronger for today, love will come your way, love will come your way Just remember that one day, love will come your way, love will come your way You are stronger for today, love will come your way, love will come your way Just remember that one day, love will come your way, love will come your way You are stronger for today, love will come your way, love will come your way

Zero Gravity 03:01
What are the chances, our eyes would meet, when the world hit zero gravity? And we each happened to step, the opposite way Seconds before, our feet left the floor Powerless, I can’t guess How it ends.. Like mountains of home Fixed by the dawn Blessed flight, it has been and gone And in the valleys we carved As we moved in the night Rivers flow from our faithful eyes And though you send me a bird With a song full of hope My flag of conviction Waves and falls Now I know I can’t turn your way Never, before, our feet touch the floor Powerless, I can’t guess How it ends..

about

Two New Zealand artists from completely different musical worlds have combined forces to create a stunning and unique collaboration.

Former Midnight Youth lead vocalist and songwriter Jeremy Redmore possesses one of the most recognised voices in New Zealand music, while Levi Patel is a rising star in the world of modern classical and ambient music.

Written and recorded in a variety of ways over the course of three years - in-person and remote, in bedrooms, studios, cities and wilderness - the Migrations EP is a project of contrasts between sonic worlds, beginnings and endings, intimacy and distance.

“There are places this project took my voice to that it had never been before and that, combined with purposefully-challenging songwriting methods, has produced a unique cluster of songs I am so happy to share with the world,” Redmore says.
